Born and raised in Northern Germany gave me what some might refer to as a sterotypical "German" work ethic, which really implies hardworking, organized, sequential, plan-driven, and uber-efficient.
I started my career as my father's assistant handing him tools, running for supplies. I was his best pupil, and it was here that my love of craft and creativity blossomed.
At 18 I started my 3-year visual merchandising apprenticeship at Dodenhof, one million+ square feet of exhibition space displaying the latest trends in everything from furniture to electronics to the latest fashions.
After graduating first in my class, I went on to manage six departements for the next two years--and then went off to conquer the world!
I started with Paris, mastering the language and culture and my craft of choice- EVENT DESIGN design. I had great exposure to a fast-paced industry that taught me how to improvise, think on a large scale, and meet extremely tight deadlines under duress.
Next stop San Francisco, I have ventured back into retail, but soon after a new path into the World of Art has opened up. I began working as Preparator and consultant for Galleries.
